upon the road
the countless miles there must be
between grasses, under leaves

Not a tanka that pulls at an emotional string, just a nature observation – which isn’t a bad thing these days.

Dancing Above The Stream

summer breeze –
touch-me-not blossoms dance
above the stream

I normally like the haiku I write when they have the 5-7-5 syllable count, but this one works well shorter.

I also have a “touch-me-not” haiku that has a fun feel to it, but it will have to wait until tomorrow, as I am not near my computer and want to put an image with it. Stay tuned tomorrow!
